Portmagee Whiskey
Founded in early 2017 by two brothers John and James Murphy from Portmagee, Co. Kerry. Portmagee Whiskey crafts small batch whiskey in honour of the original seine boat fishing families of Portmagee’s Wild Atlantic seaboard. The brothers have a family-owned site in Portmagee that used to be the Royal Irish Constabulary (RIC) Barracks until it was burned down during the Irish War of Independence and are in the process of getting planning permission to restore the building as part of the Portmagee Whiskey Experience.
